Niko Shawn Renee Looper, a 1st place winner in NEWESD 101's 2020 spring Art Show, has picked up a new honor.

Looper's piece, "We Need to Do Better," pictured left, also captured one of the top prizes in OSPI's statewide Art Show, May 29, in Olympia ...  the Washington Education Association Award.

Looper's art teacher at Central Valley High School is Rebekah Wilkins-Pepiton.

A second state honoree from the NEWESD 101 region was Annalee Smith of Mt. Spokane High School, who picked up an honorable mention award for  "animated video." Her teacher is Angelika Wilson-Wipp.
