Building Bridges, Charting the Future
Posted on 04/17/2025

Hosted by NEWESD 101 at the Centennial Hotel in Spokane, the 2025 Washington Association of Educational Service Districts (AESD) Annual Conference is underway! The event opened on April 16 with a pre-conference Tribal Consultation training led by the OSPI Office of Native Education. Day one featured a moving welcome from the Salish School of Spokane, remarks from Spokane Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Adam Swinyard, and a powerful keynote by Sandy Zimmerman—educator, American Ninja Warrior, and advocate for community-centered leadership.

AESD is a network of the state's nine Educational Service Districts (ESDs), each providing essential local services tailored to their regional communities. Together, they collaborate to support all students and schools across Washington, enhancing educational opportunities and fostering innovation statewide.

The conference theme, "Building Bridges | Charting the Future," is coming to life through meaningful conversations, regional collaboration, and shared inspiration.
