Despite stormy weather, Career Crossover Trades Night 2024 saw an incredible turnout, with over 600 attendees at Mt. Spokane High School on September 25!
The event attracted participants from 37 K-12 schools and four colleges, making it a standout evening for career exploration. Hosted in partnership with NEWESD 101’s Career & Technical Education/Career Connected Learning program and Mead School District, the night offered attendees the chance to dive into exciting trade career opportunities.
Hands-on activities across sectors like construction, automotive, healthcare, hospitality, and manufacturing gave participants of all ages a valuable, interactive experience. The event also connected attendees with local employers and apprenticeship programs, paving the way for future career possibilities.
A special thanks goes out to Wagstaff, Inc., Eastern Washington Area Health Education Center of Eastern Washington University, and Lithia & Driveway for sponsoring the event. We also appreciate the media coverage provided by KXLY and KHQ Local News, and the photography by River Rock Images of Spokane Valley.
