Late Kit Fines: $50/week
*Unless previously arranged, kits that are not returned on the pick up date are subject to this weekly fine. (Schools have 1 school week after pick-up date to return the kit to the warehouse to avoid fines.)

Elementary Kits (K-5)

• Grades K-2 are designed to be used by 1 classroom of up to 24 students.
• Grades 3-5 are designed to be used by 1 classroom of up to 30 students.

Included:

• BBS Elementary kits (K-5) have the option to add an extension kit of the same title they ordered to be used during the refurbishment period. They are delivered when the regular units are picked up. (All extension titles have been revamped to better match the materials in the regular units.)

Middle School Kits (6-8)
Middle school kits are designed for a traditional lab setting. Each middle school unit supports up to 32 students in a traditional lab setting.

Middle School Class Set Explanation
Additional Class Sets may be ordered for middle school teachers using STC-MS units who teach multiple sections of the same class. Each set includes consumable materials to support up to 32 students. 

*OSE Middle School Kit Pricing Explanation
In order to be able to provide OpenSciEd (OSE) for the middle school level, we need to cover the costs of purchasing the kits based on actual costs and the number of times the kits will be used within the school year.

• Actual costs for OSE are the cost of the kit plus shipping and tax, as well as printed teacher manual and student books, and digital access which doesn't automatically come with the kit. We prep the kits and include as many teacher-supplied items as possible. Each of the 18 titles has different costs, so we average them.
• Each kit can be used up to 3 times per year.

We are not able to cover any deficit of any non-uses in this kit order. This means that the number of uses from all the kit orders needs to cover the total cost of purchasing the needed quantity of kits (plus the standard 9.5% ESD indirect charge).

The maximum cost listed for OSE buy-ins is based on the possibility of only 1 school ordering a specific title. Once the orders are collated and processed, we will know exactly how much the buy-in cost will be.
