NEWESD 101 provides support for both educators and students in our region.  

Educator Support

Beginning Educator Support Team
The BEST Program provides sustained and purposeful support to educators in the beginning of their careers.

Center for Teaching & Learning
The Center for Teaching and Learning provides professional development, technical support, networking, and a means for disseminating information to all educators within the NEWESD 101 region.
 
College & Career Readiness
The Regional School Counseling Network is to provide an opportunity for counselors across the region to discuss, network and support one another in College and Career Readiness. 

Online Professional Learning Academy
A fully accredited CTE teacher certification program designed to help industry professionals and current teachers earn an Initial Career and Technical Education Teacher Certificate.

Paraeducator Program
Providing professional development for paraeducators and the teachers with whom they work to create effective educational teams and increase student learning.

Rural Education Center
The REC provides support and information to superintendents, building administrators and school board members who serve small and/or rural school districts.

Teacher and Principal Evaluation Project
Providing trainings and information about required evaluations.

Attendance & Re-Engagement
We support schools with boosting attendance - striving to eliminate chronic absenteeism - and with reengaging students who have become disconnected from learning opportunities. 

Career & Technical Education
Providing best practices, data reporting, and career-connected learning resources. 

Early Childhood Services
Fostering inclusive, lifelong learning for children, families, educators, and communities through compassionate partnerships.

Juvenile Detention School Services
We believe education is a partnership among students, school employees, family, and community. Our goals are to foster lifelong learning and promote achievement, responsibility, motivation, and self-esteem in a safe and positive environment.

Open Doors
Since its inception in 2014, Open Doors has served the disconnected youth of Spokane County and the surrounding areas with the mission of “Partnering with young adults on their pathway to a better tomorrow.” 

Safe Communities Partnership
An outreach program to reduce youth gang activity and create safer communities. 

Special Education
A variety of services and professional development opportunities for a reasonable cost or no fee to help improve the educational performance of students with special needs. 

AmeriCorps
AmeriCorps State/National members serve as tutors in low-income schools, assistants in public housing or environmental agencies, or learn construction skills while building and maintaining low-income houses for individuals with disabilities in our community.

YouthBuild
Engages young adults 16-24 years of age in earning a high school diploma or GED and overcoming barriers to employment, including poverty, foster care, juvenile justice and homelessness.
