Expanding Opportunities: NEWESD 101’s Career & Technical Education/Career Connected Learning department recently welcomed teachers, superintendents and CTE directors from LaCrosse, Oakesdale, Garfield and East Valley school districts along with industry partners (including Silver Star Automotive, KXLY, AllStar Glass Company, KSPS and Area Health Education Centers) to our Talbott Event Center.
As part of the department’s new grant-funded Middle School Equity Project, the event spotlighted hands-on activities relevant to careers in the automotive, healthcare and video production industries to support the expansion of career connected learning opportunities for regional middle school students.
