Martin Hall Detention Center School

Martin Hall Juvenile Detention Center began operation in October 1997 and houses up to 52 youth. It is collectively operated by ten counties: Adams, Asotin, Douglas, Ferry, Grant, Lincoln, Pend Oreille, Spokane, Stevens, and Whitman. The goal of the educational program is to increase basic skills through an individualized approach. Keeping the youth both connected and current with their school is a major focus. Concurrently, Martin Hall challenges students to evaluate life choices. Case managers work in the school setting to assess each youth and provide necessary services such as AIDS/STD awareness, drug and alcohol counseling, sex offender counseling, anger management and job skills.
